Honda CBR125R, 2011-2016

In 2011, the CBR125R received the first major overhaul since its inception, bringing its looks in line with the 2011 CBR250R, which in turn borrows from VFR1200F sports tourer.
Completely overhauled and given a ‘big bike’ feel thanks to a new chassis and far cooler styling. A new look brought with it larger front and rear tyres (now 100/80 and 130/70), digital dash and a restyled exhaust pipe.

This generation remained unchanged until 2017 saw the introduction of Euro 4 regulations, which eventually killed off the CBR125R as Honda replaced it in their model range with the retro-styled CB125R naked bike instead.

Honda CBR125R, 2007-2010

In 2007, the CBR125R received some changes. This model got different front fairings to resemble the look of the CBR600RR as well as colour changes to the swingarm and front telescopic fork which are now black. Engine changes included the implementation of PGM-FI fuel injection system, IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) which operates alongside the PGM-FI, and HECS3 oxygen sensor to comply with EURO 3 standards.

Honda CBR125R, 2004-2006

Honda produced its CBR125R for one reason, and one reason only; as a trainer bike for new riders who are into, or who want to be into, supersport motorcycles. It’s built to deliver the same eager and agile handling as its larger-displacement siblings, just with a powerplant that meets A1 license requirements. Big-bike style and feel helps train the next generation of would-be fiery-eyed pegdraggers, whether they be destined for that actual “Track Life,” or just want to look like they are.

The CBR125R was introduced in 2004 by Honda to fill in a gap in the 125 cc market left by the discontinued NSR125. It is powered by a 124.7cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke 2-valve SOHC single-cylinder engine with a claimed power output of 10 kW (13.4 hp)
