Honda CB1000R, 2018-2020

New Model
Internal model code = SC80

New styling direction dubbed as "Neo Sports Cafe", this design language first applied to the CB150R ExMotion, and the CB650R.

The engine gains 15kw more peak power and mid-range torque, and is controlled by throttle by wire. Up from 125hp to 145,5hp.
Increased valve lift for more gas flow, raising the inlet and exhaust valves. Increased the diameter of the throttle body, increased the diameter of the inlet ports, revised the shape of the combusition chamber, replaced the airbox, ducting, and air-filter, all for smoother air flow, making the engine breathe.
Euro 4 compliant

Riding modes now offer bespoke combinations of power, engine brake and Honda selectable torque control.

The engine sits in a new frame, paired with high specification Showa suspension and radial-mount front brakes.

New chassis, bigger back wheel, new instruments

An extra trim version, CB1000R+ (plus) also released:
- aluminium front fender and rear hugger panels
- flyscreen with aluminium inserts
- single seat cowl with aluminium inserts
- logo on radiator grille
- heated grips
- quickshifter

Honda CB1000R, 2008-2017

Honda 1000cc standard Naked bike
Internal model code = SC60

Launched November 2007 as replacement for the CB900F Hornet (which was in production between 2001-2007)

It wasn’t Honda Japan that designed and built the first CB1000R. In fact, Honda Italy designed and built it!
This might help you understand why they used a single-sided swingarm, for example. That’s a design option that I haven’t otherwise seen on a standard naked bike outside of Japan.

The CB1000R's styling cues are borrowed from the 2007 CB600F Hornet.

The engine is a detuned version of the 2007 CBR1000RR engine, 125hp.

2011 = The CB1000RA launched, with ABS
