KTM 1290 Super Adventure, 2015 >>>
 

KTM's first production year for this motorcycle was 2015. The bike is marketed by KTM as a high performance adventure touring machine. The bike is powered by two-cylinder 1301 cc engine producing 160 hp. The Super Adventure features a motorcycle cruise control which is first from KTM. KTM offers multiple optional safety features including MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control), MSC (Motorcycle Stability Control), MSR (Motor Slip Regulation), and ABS brakes. KTM also installed LED cornering lights for improved cornering visibility in low light situations.

2017 = KTM launches the 1290 Super Adventure S and 1290 Super Adventure R variants, and renames the 1290 Super Adventure T model to the model launched in 2015 (with some new features). The new S and R models feature a complete redesign of the headlight, a new dashboard with a 6" color TFT display, and a 6 US gal (23 l) fuel tank. The R model is the most off-road oriented model with features like 21-inch front and 18-inch wheels, a much smaller windshield, and manually adjusted damping. While the S model has 19-inch wheels front and 17-inch rear like model T, but in this case with alloy wheels, semi-active suspension, and as new key by proximity, KTM My Ride an Optional hands-free audio playback kit and a hermetic compartment for the smartphone.

 


KTM 1190 Adventure, 2013-2016
 

The LC8 motor is based on the powerplant in the RC8 sportbike. Like the RC8, and unlike its predecessor the 990 Adventure, the 1190 Adventure uses ride-by-wire throttle. Cycle World and Motor Cycle News noted the electronic rider aids including ride-by-wire and electronic suspension control, up until now foregone by KTM to emphasize off-road performance, are intended to position the 1190 Adventure against technologically advanced street-going rivals like the Ducati Multistrada 1200. It is the first bike with Bosch's Anti-Lowside Technology, the so-called Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC)

 

 


KTM 990 Adventure, 2006-2013
 

The engine was evolved from the predecessor 950 Adventure. The bore and stroke were increased The engine also featured a revised camshaft and the carburetor was replaced with the electronic fuel injection. Brakes are Brembo two-channel ABS, except the S and the R versions which have no ABS.

 

 


KTM 950 Adventure, 2003-2006
 

The KTM 950 Adventure is a Dual-sport motorcycle that was produced in Austria by KTM. The bike is powered by a liquid cooled, four-stroke, DOHC 942 cc 75° V-twin engine, producing around 102 bhp.

2004 = Darker windscreen fairing
Front fender is painted evenly with the dominant colour of the body
Tank protection at the bottom
Wheels' rims are completely black

2005 = Engine: The multipurpose shaft, The clutch is modified to reduce mechanical noise
Carburettor is equipped with electric heaters (to prevent freezing in cold weather)
Suspension travel is reduced by 20mm (from 230 to 210 mm and from 265 to 245mm on S model)
Front wheel is now more resistant to off-road use
Rear rim pass from 4.00" to 4.25"
Rear caliper pistons now have thermal protection
Saddle has been redesigned and different foam was used to get a better comfort
Thermal protection of the exhaust manifold before the cylinder was lengthened
A splash protection (protecting the electric element placed in front of the airbox) was added under the frame behind the steering column
A new fan shroud cooling to better redirect the exhaust air and less heat on the left knee of the driver
